Duluth, Minnesota -- Save Our Steam (SOS) presented with two separate prestigious safety awards. Awarded both the Minnesota Governor's Safety Award 'for outstanding achievement in workplace safety and health' by the Minnesota Safety Council, and the North Dakota Safety Council's Occupational Safety Merit Award.
The annual Minnesota Governor's Safety Awards Program honors Minnesota employers with an exceptional safety performance record. Applicants are judged several years of data, and compared to state and national statistics.
The annual North Dakota Safety Council's award is based on some of those same strict guidelines. Safety records and overall performance on and off site are considered.
To date SOS has never had a reportable injury. Field operators regularly work in dangerous, hazardous conditions, fixing high-pressure steam, gas, acid, and pulp leaks under full flow conditions. The company's motto, 'Any process, any pressure, any time', accurately describes how SOS tackles every leak they're called in to repair.
Save Our Steam Inc., SOS, was founded in 1987 by Jim Carter as a successor to United Leak Control, a business Jim and his father launched in 1975 in response to industry need for professional industrial leak sealing services. Since then SOS has built a reputation for success and is highly regarded for sealing leaks under full-flow conditions.
