SOS Awards
Our many Safety Awards are no accident. We've had three decades to run into every possible leakage situation and figure safe fixes. The safety awards we've received — from the Minnesota Safety Council, the North Dakota Safety Council, the Energy Coalition for Contractor Safety, PEC Premier, and the Lignite Energy Council, among others — are evidence of our serious commitment to on the job safety.
Over all these years, we've never once had a reported injury or lost-time incident.
Our Awards
Since 1934, the annual Governor's Safety Awards have spotlighted Minnesota employers with above average safety records. SOS received the 2012 Minnesota Governor's Safety Award 'for outstanding achievement in workplace safety and health.
The NDSC's awards program is designed to promote incident prevention by honoring companies with outstanding safety programs that have gone above and beyond to improve the safety & health environments. SOS won the 2012 Safety Council Occupational Safety Merit Award.

Since 1993, the Joel Labovitz Entrepreneurial Success Awards have recognized small business owners who have dared to dream, taken risks and invested in the region. In 2010, SOS won the Innovation Award for an entrepreneur that has developed a new process that creates value by implementing a new idea or technology.
