S-O-S Inc. was started in 1987 by Jim Carter. Jim has been in the business of sealing leaks under full flow conditions for 30 years. In 1974, he began his lifelong career by completing an apprenticeship program through United Association as a Pipefitter/Steamfitter. In 1975, Jim started working for his father, a pioneer in the leak sealing field and owner of United Leak Control in Denver Colorado.

Today, Jim and his son Jake Carter own and operate S-O-S Inc. with crews sealing leaks throughout the Midwest at Paper Mills, Oil Refineries, Power Plants, City Steam Distribution Systems, Agriculture Industry Refineries and various manufacturing facilities.
